What Makes Orthodontic Care at Campi Dental Unique
Unlike large orthodontic practices where multiple patients are treated at once in an open setting, Campi Dental offers a truly personalized experience that our patients have come to love and appreciate.
✔ Private Treatment Rooms – We only treat one orthodontic patient at a time, in a private room, ensuring individualized attention and a calm, comfortable environment. Our private treatment rooms allow for a highly focused, efficient, and well executed appointment at every visit. This can also be a major advantage for anyone that suffers from anxiety related to the dental treatment or otherwise.
✔ 90% of Care is Performed by Dr. Greg Himself – Many offices rely heavily on assistants for adjustments, but at Campi Dental, Dr. Greg personally handles the majority of your orthodontic care. It allows him to connect with each patient, learn about them, their likes and interests, and allow time to fully evaluate each patient. Dr. Greg prides himself on his ability to help both children and adults not only with their smile but with their breathing, sleep, behavior, and overall wellness.
✔ One-on-One Focus – Every visit is designed around you—your needs, progress, and comfort are always our top priority. Every treatment plan is personalized based on the needs of the patient and Dr. Greg spends a great deal of time fully understanding the patient and their needs.
✔ A Focus on Early Intervention – One of the key orthodontic philosophies at Campi Dental is early intervention orthodontics. By evaluating patients at a young age we’re able to address concerns early, monitor and evaluate growth, and can significantly reduce the complexity of future orthodontic treatment—often making Phase 2 (Damon Braces, Light Force Braces, or Custom Clear Aligner Therapy with Spark) much simpler, faster, and more effective.
Early Intervention for Long-Term Success
At Campi Dental, we believe that orthodontic care should start before problems become severe. That’s why Dr. Greg Campi is a strong advocate for early intervention orthodontics, also known as Phase 1 treatment. Rather than waiting until all permanent teeth have erupted—typically around the teenage years—Dr. Greg evaluates children as young as age 4 to identify potential orthodontic and airway-related concerns early on. This proactive approach can prevent more serious issues from developing and often reduces the need for extractions, surgery, or long and complex treatments later in life.
Why Does Dr. Greg Focus on Early Intervention?
Dr. Greg has seen firsthand how early orthodontic treatment can make a huge difference in a child’s development. His approach is not just about straightening teeth—it’s about guiding jaw growth, improving airway function, and setting the foundation for lifelong health. Some of the key reasons he emphasizes early intervention include:
- Proper Facial Growth – Proper facial growth is essential in orthodontics, as it influences jaw alignment, airway health, and overall facial balance. Early orthodontic intervention can help guide jaw development, ensuring proper bite function, breathing, and long-term stability for a healthy, well-structured smile.
- Guiding Jaw Growth & Development – Addressing jaw misalignment early can prevent severe overbites, underbites, and crowding issues later.
- Preventing Severe Orthodontic Problems – Early treatment can create more space for incoming permanent teeth, reducing the need for extractions or extensive corrective treatment.
- Supporting Proper Airway Function – Many orthodontic issues are linked to breathing problems. As a nationally recognized airway specialist, Dr. Greg identifies and treats concerns related to airway obstruction, helping children avoid problems like mouth breathing, snoring, and sleep-disordered breathing.
- Improving Facial Structure & Function – Proper jaw alignment supports overall facial symmetry and function, improving everything from speech to chewing and digestion.
- Creating Long-Term Stability – Addressing problems early often leads to more stable results, minimizing the need for orthodontic treatment in the future.
Early intervention orthodontics is customized to each child’s unique needs. Some of the most common treatments include:
- Palatal Expanders – Removable palate expanders are used to widen the upper jaw, creating more space for teeth and improving nasal breathing. They can be created with a 3D printer and provide maximum comfort.
- Space Maintainers – Helps guide permanent teeth into their proper positions.
- Phase 1 Braces or Appliances – Designed to correct mild alignment issues before they become more complex
- Myofunctional Therapy & Habit Correction – Focuses on training proper tongue posture, swallowing patterns, and eliminating habits like thumb sucking.
Orthotropics & Early Intervention
Orthotropic treatment in orthodontics focuses on guiding natural jaw growth and development to achieve proper facial balance, airway function, and optimal dental alignment. Unlike traditional orthodontics, which primarily straightens teeth, orthotropics emphasizes correcting underlying structural issues by encouraging proper tongue posture, nasal breathing, and forward jaw growth. This early intervention approach, often starting in childhood, helps prevent future complications such as overcrowding, bite misalignment, and airway obstruction. By addressing the root causes of improper facial growth, orthotropic treatment promotes long-term health benefits beyond just a straighter smile, including improved breathing, posture, and overall facial harmony.
A Whole-Body Approach to Orthodontics
At Campi Dental, orthodontic care isn’t just about creating a beautiful smile—it’s about improving overall health and wellness. Dr. Greg integrates his knowledge as an airway specialist to identify and treat conditions related to breathing, jaw alignment, and sleep disorders. His holistic approach ensures that orthodontic care enhances not just your appearance, but your total well-being.
Whether you’re a parent looking for early orthodontic care for your child, a teen ready for braces, or an adult exploring clear aligner options, Campi Dental provides exceptional, customized orthodontic treatment that prioritizes health, function, and aesthetics.
