A Year to Remember: Celebrating 90 Years of Dental Excellence

In 2023, our dental practice embarked on a journey of celebration and reflection, marking a significant milestone – our 90th anniversary. This extraordinary year was not just about honoring our history but also about investing in the future, giving back to our community, and reinforcing our commitment to excellence. We are extremely grateful to all of our patients, our team, and the community for helping us honor the Campi Dental name and achieve an incredibly successful anniversary year.

90 Hours of Community Service

Our practice holds a deep-rooted belief in the power of community, dating back to the 1930’s when our founder, John G. Campi helped in forming the original Boys Club of Asbury Park. In 2023, we set a goal of completed a minimum of 90 hours of community service. We are proud to say we exceeded that, and had an amazing time doing so. Campi Dental partnered with Coastal Habitat for Humanity to embark on a special project close to our hearts, bringing us back to our roots at the Boys & Girls Clubs of Monmouth County. This project came full circle for us as we got our hands dirty working to beautify the grounds of the Boys and Girls Club. From mowing and trimming to mulching and planting, our team quickly made the BGC property beautiful and vibrant. The experience was nothing short of amazing.

As we reflect on this remarkable experience, we’re reminded of the power of unity and the joy that comes from serving others. We want to thank our incredible team at Campi Dental, you helped to make our commitment to the community possible. And to the teams at Coastal Habitat and the BGC, thank you for making this day so powerful and successful. It was a true privilege to connect with two inspiring organizations that engage in activities that promote youth education, health, well-being, personal growth, and housing.

Nurturing Education with Scholarships

At Campi Dental, we believe in investing in the future of our community and supporting the next generation of leaders. We were excited to present our brand new scholarships to two deserving students who are passionate about their education and making a positive impact in the world. As a practice that values learning and growth, contributing to the educational journey of aspiring individuals aligns seamlessly with our ethos. Our team worked incredibly hard to develop these scholarships that are so meaningful to our practice. We created two scholarships to be given out to a local high school senior. One scholarship is designed for a student pursuing a medical degree, while the other focuses on a student with a passion for giving back and supporting the community.

The Campi Dental Scholarship

The Campi Dental scholarship aims to support the educational goals of a deserving high school senior pursuing a career in the field of medicine or dentistry. This scholarship is awarded based on the applicant’s academic achievement and interest in furthering their academic career. Designed for a local student with a passion for healthcare and that aspires to become a healthcare professional.

The John G. Campi Community Service Scholarship 

This scholarship is dedicated to honoring the legacy of Dr. John G. Campi, the founder of Campi Dental, who believed in giving back to the community. We believe that young people have the power to make a positive impact in their local community and beyond. This scholarship is available for any high school senior who is actively involved in community service and making a difference in the lives of others. The John G. Campi Community Service Award is awarded based on the dedication to community service and their future plans to continue making a difference in our community.

Congratulations to the 2023 Scholarship Winners!

Gianna Doran – Winner of the John G. Campi Community Service Scholarship

Gianna is a Senior at St. Rose High School in Belmar and will be studying Marketing at Providence College this Fall. Gianna is the winner of the John G. Campi Community Service Scholarship for her outstanding work in the community over the last several years. She is a loyal Girl Scout and has organized and participated in numerous fundraisers supporting the Boys & Girls Club of Monmouth County among others.

Aliya Grinberg – Winner of the Campi Dental Scholarship

Aliya is Senior at High Technology High School in Lincroft, NJ. She will be attending The College of New Jersey/NJMS this Fall with a Biology major on a 7 year medical track. Aliya has a strong passion for both technology and healthcare and how the two can work together to improve the medical world and treat illness. We are proud to present her with the Campi Dental Scholarship as she pursues her studies in the medical field.

Investing in Technological Advancements

One of the standout achievements of our 90th anniversary year was the introduction of cutting-edge AI Dental technology. By investing in state-of-the-art tools, we not only elevated the quality of care for our patients but also embraced innovation in the dental field. This commitment to technology reflects our ongoing dedication to providing the best possible dental experience. This AI technology serves as an invaluable tool for our dentists, allowing them to identify a wide array of common and treatable dental issues way sooner than we typically would discover them. The early stages of dental and gum disease are not always visible to the naked eye, and problems below the surface can be challenging to detect. AI software can detect these issues before they are visible, giving our dentists a “second set of eyes” when examining our patients. The system enhances radiological accuracy and aids in identifying injury, disease, or pathology. We are extremely proud to offer this level of dental innovation at our practice. It amazes us how far the industry has come with technology and we are honored to be a part of it.

Campi Dental’s Sponsor a Student Program

Campi Dental has been collecting school supplies for local children in need for as long as we can remember. This being a special anniversary year for us, we knew we needed to do something bigger so we set an aggressive goal of supporting a minimum of 90 students going back to school. We reworked how our school supply drive was setup and improved it in a way that made it easier for our patients and the community to participate. We excitedly partnered with a patient of ours who owns Becker School Supplies. His great interest in our campaign was admirable and he generously offered to provide us with school supplies at cost. Our team proudly put together a “back to school supply kit” that included a backpack and all of the necessary school supplies. We then launched our “Sponsor a Student” campaign where our patients and the community could sponsor a local child in need by purchasing our back to school supply kit.

We were absolutely blown away by the incredible outpouring of support from our amazing patients and the entire community. The generosity and kindness from everyone took our “Sponsor a Student” program to a level we didn’t know was possible. We are incredibly proud to say that we not only met our goal of sponsoring 90 students, but we exceeded it! We were able to provide backpacks filled with all of the essential supplies to OVER 100 local students in need.

Everyone’s willingness to stand with us and make a difference in the lives of these young learners is truly inspiring. Together, we were able to shape a brighter future for our community—one backpack at a time.

18th Annual Candy Buy-Back: 900 Pounds of Sweet Support

In a heartwarming effort, our practice hosted our Annual Candy Buy-Back event for the 18th year. In honor of our 90 year anniversary we set out to collect over 900 pounds of candy to send to our troops. We proudly exceeded our goal and contributed to initiatives that bring a touch of sweetness and comfort to those serving our nation. We were excited to partner once again with Team Shamrock and the Tunnel to Towers Foundation.

We appreciate the involvement from our team, patients, and the community. Everyone’s overwhelming support made our event a sweet success and made this day truly special. This tradition allows us to connect with the community in a fun way, all while supporting our troops and two remarkable organizations.

We were proud to present two checks to Kathy Cunningham with Team Shamrock of the Tunnel to Towers Foundation, as well as one for the “Always Supporting Our Military” organization. Both who do incredibly impactful work honoring our military and first responders.

Together, we’ve made a positive impact, spreading smiles and joy within our community and overseas. Thank you for being a part of our tradition, supporting our ongoing Campi Cares efforts, and our 90 year anniversary mission of giving back.

A Year to Remember

As we come to the end of our 90th anniversary year, we would like to pay tribute to our patients for their loyalty and trust over the past 90 years.
